INSTRUCTORS
Adrienne Walker-Chery, Director of Softball & Business Development
Pitching Instructor
University of Tennessee graduate with a degree in Advertising; Inaugural member of the Tennessee Lady Vols Softball program (1996-2000); Recent class of 2010 Lady Vol Hall of Fame Inductee; Elected not to play high school softball but earned a full-ride scholarship to play for the Tennessee Lady Vols through travel ball.
Recorded first no-hitter in school history in 1996; First-ever University of Tennessee NFCA All-South Region Hurler; Earned First-Team All SEC honors and multiple SEC Pitcher of the Week accolades; Ranked sixth in Division I with a 0.71 ERA; Still ranked in the top 10 in the UT record books in a number of statistical categories including third in Tennessee single season ERA, 0.71 (1997); third in complete games (61); fourth in solo shutouts (16) and fifth in career ERA (1.97), career appearances (108), career starts (87) and career wins (54).
In 2008, Adrienne was recognized for contributing to The University of Tennessee Lady Vols legacy, in a limited tabletop edition of “In the Footsteps of Champions: The University of Tennessee, the First Three Decades”. Adrienne is currently a full-time instructor and the founder of Today's FACES Academy, a youth sports camp organization dedicated to promoting education & sports. |

Brittany Barnes
Hitting & Fielding Instructor
Georgia Tech graduate with a degree in Industrial Engineering; Started collegiate career at North Georgia College and State University; Garnered a GACC Championship her Freshmen year at NGCSU and helped the team finish 5th in the nation; Posted a .556 slugging percentage and a .359 on base percentage as a Sophomore; Also ranked second on the team in homeruns and fourth in RBI.
Brittany went on to finish her collegiate career at Georgia Tech, where she became one of the most prolific power hitters in the ACC. Smashed a career-high 20 homeruns, tied for third best in ACC history... Drove in 73 runs, second-best in ACC history ... Selected to the NFCA All-Southeast Region second team ... Named ACC Player of the Week on April 30th after hitting three home runs and driving in 10 runs in a three-game series against Virginia ... Finished second in the ACC in RBI (third in the NCAA) and home runs (seventh in NCAA). As a Senior Brittany led Tech and tied for first in the ACC with 12 homeruns. Brittany was also second on the team and ninth in the ACC with a .536 slugging percentage. Brittany ranks third all-time at Georgia Tech in slugging percentage (.597) and fifth in homeruns (32).
In 2008, Brittany was taken in the fourth round (23rd overall) of the National Pro Fastpitch Draft by the Akron Racers. The following two years Brittany was recruited to play in the German professional league. She played for the Mannheim Tornadoes in 2009 and the Wesseling Vermins in 2010. Brittany helped both teams garner a German Championship, the Tornadoes in 2009 and the Vermins in 2010. Brittany was also at the top of the league in homeruns, RBIs, and slugging percentage both seasons. Brittany is currently available for fielding and hitting instruction for all ages. |

Natasha Willemese
Hitting & Catching Instructor
Natasha moved from South Africa in 1998 and started playing softball in 2000. She is a recent graduate of North Georgia College & State University with a degree in Art Marketing.
Prior to her collegiate career, Natasha attended Peachtree Ridge High School from 2003-2006; where she was selected to the All-Gwinnett County Fast Pitch Diamond Club Team three years in a row, All-Gwinnett County Academic Team, saluted with the Lion Award (the highest presented student-athlete award for excellence in academics, athletics, and character), named Outstanding Student Athlete fir the 2004-2005 season, names Senior Female Athlete of the Year for the 2005-2006 season, received the Best Offensive Player Award in 2003, MVP in 2004, and received the Pride Award (excellence in athletics, academics, character, sportsmanship, and leadership) two years in a row.
At North Georgia, Natasha played an active role in the team’s 51-game winning streak in 2010. Natasha’s primary position was behind the plate where she earned the privilege of calling her own games and Head Coach Davenport described her as a “Pitching Coach on the Field”. During her tenure at North Georgia, Natasha earned South Atlantic Regional All-Tournament Team honors, as well as, the Peach Belt Presidential Honor Roll Award. Natasha is currently a community coach with Peachtree Ridge High School and currently offering private instruction in catching, fielding and throwing. |

Angie Buckem
Pitching Instructor
A native of Eugene, OR, Angie received a full softball scholarship to Georgia State University. During her four years on the mound at GSU, she compiled a career win-loss record of 47-46 and pitched 70 complete games. She holds individual season records for strikeouts (115) and shutouts (7) in 2000 and received Atlantic Sun/TAAC All- Conference honors in 1999 and 2000. For her career, Angie finished with 15 shutouts and collected 363 strikeouts.
In 2001, Angie joined the coaching staff at Georgia State as an Assistant Coach working with the pitchers. She worked with the team for two years developing a strong pitching squad and recruiting new talent. Angie has given private and group pitching instruction for over 12 years in Georgia and Oregon. She holds a bachelors degree in Sociology from Georgia State University and a masters in Business Administration from Ashford University. |

Madi Muesse
Junior Pitching Instructor
Growing up, Madi received professional pitching instruction for four years. Her travel ball teams included the T-Birds and Fury. Madi played at Jefferson High School when her career as a pitcher was cut short by an injury. Madi is a great resource for young aspiring pitchers. She has trained with our staff and teaches all of the absolutes of the fastpitch softball pitching motion. |
